"Because if Aquaman can get a movie, anyone can get a movie." That legitimately made me laugh. As a dad to 11 and 8 year old daughters, I've seen my fair share of Teen Titans GO! Why, just over Christmas we were watching the every episode ever marathon and I reminded them that a movie was coming out this summer. They didn't believe me because there was no trailer or mention of it anywhere, but today, I can proudly look my daughters in the eyes and say, "nah nah nah boo boo, stick your head in doo doo."

Teen Titans GO! to the Movies is the first feature length theatrically released film based on a Cartoon Network property since 2002's The Powerpuff Girls Movie, which was great, but 16 years is too durn long between projects. Where's my Adventure Time movie, already? Technically there was also the Aqua Teen movie in 2007, but that's Adult Swim and I don't count it. There was also allegedly a Regular Show movie in 2015, but I've never seen it.

Anywho, this looks like it could function as a brilliant deconstruction of the superhero film, but with fart jokes, so just like The LEGO Batman Movie. Speaking of which, Will Arnett is on board for this film as well, allegedly voicing Deathstroke aka Slade Wilson. They've got the regular voice cast from the series on board, which is nice, as well as Kristen Bell. I don't expect this to be groundbreaking, but if they manage to put together a coherent story that lasts 90 minutes, I'll be impressed.

Teen Titans GO! to the Movies on July 27.
